Youth Ministry

Youth ministry at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns takes into consideration the busy schedules of our young parishioners! We offer programming for youth throughout the year that does not require weekly attendance to feel a part of the “group” but rather allows youth to attend events that work with their schedule and pack a punch for the time that we do spend together! All programming offers opportunities for growth in understanding a component of the faith, food and fun through serving others.

 

Did you know that scientific studies show that helping others can contribute to our happiness in
different ways. These include increasing our sense of meaning and satisfaction with life and boosting our self-confidence. It can reduce stress and help us feel calmer too. So, in addition to putting our faith into action, we are helping our youth become happier and healthier disciples of Christ!

We currently offer three Youth Ministry programs:

​

• 3rd - 5th Grade Youth Group:   New this year our parish will run 4 (about once a season) youth group meetings for parishioners in grades 3-5 as a way for this age group to get introduced to our youth ministry program and see what youth group is all about.

• Service Saturday: Currently open to youth grades 4-9. We meet from 10am-12pm in the school cafeteria! Sign up links and participation release forms are below.​

• Middle School/High School Youth Groups:  Open to youth in grades 6-12. The groups will meet together and separately (grades 6-8; grades 9-12) several times throughout the year to grow in faith, friendship, and mission with other youth in the parish.
