Volunteer Opportunities

There are a number of opportunities for young people and adults to volunteer to help out with the various Religious Education programs. Young people are needed as aides in both the Family Faith and Sunday Preschool programs. Adults are always welcomed to volunteer for Sunday Preschool, Family Faith and Children's Liturgy of the Word. Please go to the left side bar and click on the correct form under service hour forms. This is a great opportunity to share your faith with the young people of our parish.

Children's Sunday Collection

The Joyful Noise Collection is our ongoing Young People’s Sunday collection. All young people are invited to come forward at collection time to put their loose change in the glass container by the altar and make some noise. This is not just for the very young – but anyone under the age of 18. Over the last year, the organizations voted on my the young people of our parish received over $1200 in donations from our Joyful Noise Collection.

The children at St. Pat's School and Family Faith have voted and the four organizations to receive the tithe from the Joyful Noise Collection for the 2009-2010 school year  are : Solar Cooker Project, The Down Syndrome Buddy Walk, The Children Hunger Relief Fund and Alexa's Butterflies to fight childhood cancer in memory of Alexa Brown of Clyde. Let us make some NOISE!

Sunday Preschool

Pre-registration is helpful but walk-ins are always welcomed !

Sunday Preschool is held during the 9:30 Mass for children 3-5 years old. This program gives children the opportunity to learn more about Jesus in a simpler language through various activities. This program meets October through April . The cost is $30 per child for the year. The program will begin October 3 for the 2010-2011 school year. A registration form is available in the left column of this webpage.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

For kindergarten through 4th grade.

Come and join us at 9:30 Sunday  Mass !  Instead of simply training a child to be quiet and sit through Mass, Children’s Liturgy of the Word helps to allow children to discover their Christian identity and feel a part of the liturgical life of our parish. After the opening prayer, the priest invites the children to attend their own special Liturgy of the Word in a separate area, usually located in the school cafeteria. While the adults hear the word of God proclaimed and reflect upon its meaning, the children are also listening to the Word of God at their own level. It is presented in an enjoyable, fun way that allows active participation. At the conclusion of the Liturgy of the Word, the children rejoin their families and the rest of the congregation for the celebration of the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

No pre-registration - join us for dismissal during the Mass.
