Assistant Director of Music and School Music Teacher:  St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio, 43614.  Parish Web:  www.toledostpats.org  St. Patrick’s is a vibrant Catholic community in the Diocese of Toledo with 2,500 families, music ministry of 250+ children and adults and a parish school of 500+ students.  The successful candidate for this full-time position must have an understanding of liturgical services of the Roman Catholic Church, hold effective leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with people of all ages and talents.  A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music or related field.  Strong keyboard skills required. Teaching experience would be beneficial.  Parish currently has a 3 manual Rodgers Organ (2001), a new Yamaha C7 (7’6”) grand piano and three octaves of Malmark Handbells.  Assistant Director responsibilities include sharing the weekend and Holyday Mass schedule with the director and assistant organist, accompanying choirs, assisting with Handbell Choirs, and some basic office duties.  Responsibilities for the school will include general music instruction for children in Pre-K, Pre-school, and Kindergarten through Eighth grade and school Masses.  Competitive salary with full diocesan benefits.  Interested candidates should contact Director of Liturgy and Music, Jack Gerding at 419-381-7251 or jack.gerding@toledostpats.org.

PARISH - Assistant Director of Music

·         2-3 Masses a weekend (including any choral accompanying)

·         Assist the director with general office duties

·         Maintain liturgical music library

·         Maintain liturgical choir bins

·         Prepare organist and cantor binders for Masses

·         Weekend Presider, Lector, Deacon Books
