Welcome to St. Patricks

Parish Information

Our Mission

St. Patrick of Heatherdowns is a vital part of the Catholic Church, united in one faith, one baptism, committed to the proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ in word and sacrament. We worship together as the Body of Christ, we minister to one another in the spirit of the Gospel and we reach beyond ourselves to those in need of our time, talent and treasure. We become the living presence of God in love and service.

If You Are Hospitalized

Due to privacy laws, the parish office is not often notified by the hospital when one of our parishioners has been admitted. We would appreciate being advised by a family member when this has occurred. We do make the effort to visit parishioners in hospitals when we are aware of an admittance. To let us know if someone you love has been hospitalized, please call our parish secretary, Mary Miller at 419-381-1540 or email her by clicking HERE.

Need Directions?

St. Patrick of Heatherdowns is located at the intersection of Eastgate Road and Heatherdowns Boulevard. If you are coming from the Anthony Wayne Trail, Michigan Avenue turns into Eastgate at the Heatherdowns intersection. Need a map? Here it is!  St_Pats_Map.gif

The Joyful Noise Children's Collection

Each Mass, the children of our parish come forward to make a gift of coins. This small change makes a big difference in our community. The 2008-09 collection totaled  more than $2,500. Half went to the parish and the four quarterly recipients included HeartBeat of Toledo, Ryan's Well Foundation, Kaylee's Course for Progeria Research and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

2009-10 quarterly tithe recipeients will include:

January: The Solar Cooker Project $391.57!

April: The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo $284

July: The Children's Hunger Relief Fund

November: Alexa's Butterflies, a TeamUnite charity to fight childhood cancer in memory of Alexa Brown of Clyde, OH.

At the beginning of each school year, children in the Family Faith Formation Program and SPH Elementary School vote on who will receive tithe funds for the coming year. If you would like to have your organization considered for the 2010/11 ballot, please contact Pam Mohler at 419-724-4770.
